Materials
-
Fabric Composition: Sculpted from 100% premium brushed-off calf leather for the upper, paired with a fully lined leather insole.
-
Properties: The "brushed-off" technique treats the calfskin to give it a sophisticated, smooth semi-gloss luster that sits beautifully between matte and patent leather. This premium leather provides excellent structure, holding its architectural lines while breaking in comfortably over time.
-
Color: Presented in a deep, saturated black that emphasizes the shifting light across the polished brushed surface and tones perfectly with the matte hardware.
Details
-
Asymmetric Side-Buckle Overlay: Features a wide leather overlay panel running across the front vamp, secured on the lateral side by a minimalist, matte black structural buckle for a subtle, utilitarian focal point.
-
Softly Squared Apron Toe: Tailored with a traditional raised apron stitched edge paired with a contemporary, softly squared toe box that offers a comfortable fit and a modern profile.
-
High-Vamp Coverage: Cut with a slightly higher throat line than traditional loafers, providing a clean, glove-like hold around the bridge of the foot.
-
Low Stacked Heel: Set on a sturdy, low-profile stacked leather heel that ensures natural ground alignment, arch support, and exceptional daily walking longevity.
Construction
-
Reinforced Moccasin Stitching: The front apron perimeter is detailed with tight, heavy-gauge tonal topstitching to reinforce the toe box walls and preserve the shoe's crisp silhouette.
-
Secure Strap Anchoring: The side buckle is firmly riveted to the lower leather chassis, ensuring the wide overlay strap stays perfectly flat and flush during movement.
-
-
The Cleaning: Wipe down the brushed surface with a soft, slightly damp microfiber cloth to remove dust. Buff gently with a dry cloth to restore its signature semi-gloss shine.
-
The Maintenance: Use a specialized cream formulated for brushed or polished calfskin every few months to keep the leather hydrated and prevent fine lines from settling along the natural flex points.
-
The Storage: Store inside a cotton dust bag with cedar shoe trees inserted to help absorb ambient moisture and maintain the original shape of the toe box.

These side-buckle loafers are ideal for injecting a sharp, architectural element into fluid outfits. Let the matte side buckle and brushed leather finish peek out from beneath the pooling hemlines of the Side-Adjustable Layered Cotton Trousers, or use them to ground the organic linen texture of the Front-Buttoned Slit Linen-Rayon Column Dress. Their clean lines also make them a natural partner for the structured Shoulder-Buttoned Cropped Heather Grey Vest.
