This skirt is a masterclass in architectural volume and sculptural femininity, embodying the innovative spirit of contemporary Japanese pattern-cutting. Crafted from 100% premium structural cotton, the fabric is selected for its crisp "snap" and ability to hold complex, three-dimensional forms. The design is defined by its dramatic layered construction, featuring overlapping panels that create a rhythmic, tiered effect and a silhouette that shifts beautifully with every step.
With its high-waisted profile and expansive A-line frame, this garment serves as a directional statement piece. It is designed for those who appreciate the intersection of organic materials and avant-garde geometry to create a polished, modern presence.
-
Origin: Made in Japan.
-
Material: 100% Structural Cotton; curated for its breathable, organic character and superior shape memory.
-
The Cut: A high-rise midi-to-maxi silhouette featuring an architectural layered design that provides maximum volume without losing its clean, geometric lines.
-
Key Features: Precision-engineered overlapping panels, a reinforced wide waistband for a secure fit, and discreet side-seam pockets.
-
Texture: Crisp and substantial—the high-density cotton weave provides a smooth, matte finish that emphasizes the shadows and highlights of the layered tiers.
-
To preserve the architectural layers and the crisp nature of the structural cotton:
-
The Wash: Machine wash cold on a delicate cycle in a large mesh laundry bag. This protects the precision-stitched layers from pulling or distorting during the cycle.
-
The Dry: Hang to air dry on a broad clip hanger in the shade. Avoid the tumble dryer, as high heat can cause the heavy-weight cotton to shrink unevenly and may soften the "snap" required to hold the skirt's sculptural shape.
-
The Refresh: Use a handheld steamer to release surface wrinkles and "re-inflate" the volume of the layered panels. If ironing is necessary, iron on a medium setting while the fabric is slightly damp to maintain the crisp, professional finish.
-
The dramatic volume of this layered skirt makes it a perfect partner for more streamlined, architectural tops. For a sophisticated tonal ensemble, pair it with the Japan Handcrafted Lyocell Relaxed-Fit Shirt in Steel Grey—the contrast between the fluid Lyocell and the structural cotton creates a beautifully balanced, high-concept aesthetic.
If you are aiming for a more textural, urban look, style it with the Artisanal Poly-Rayon Knitted Polo Top in Steel Grey. The fine-gauge knit tucked into the high waistband creates an elongated, professional proportion. Complete the look with the Paris Handcrafted Suede and Sheepskin Pointy Flats in Midnight Onyx and the 925 Silver Connected Layer Charm Necklace for a final note of artisanal precision.
