An elegant testament to refined Japanese minimalism, this ivory midi dress balances structural micro-pleating with an effortless, fluid silhouette. Crafted from a premium poly-rayon blend, the garment features an all-over vertical plissé texture that catches the light beautifully while elongating the frame. With a delicate notched V-neckline, soft cap sleeves, and an adjustable drawstring waist, this piece provides an adaptable fit that transitions seamlessly from elevated daytime wear to understated evening curation.
Materials & Texture
-
Fluid Poly-Rayon Blend: Engineered with a mid-weight poly-rayon weave that delivers a cool, soft hand-feel and an exceptionally fluid drape that sways gracefully with movement.
-
Subtle Crepe Finish: The fabric features a fine, low-lustre matte texture that resists wrinkling, ensuring a crisp, polished appearance throughout extended wear.
-
Deep Midnight Navy: A sophisticated, saturated dark navy hue that provides a softer, more tonal alternative to classic black while remaining highly versatile.
Details & Silhouette
-
Elongated Deep V-Neckline: Designed with a dramatic, plunge V-front, making it an ideal canvas for pairing with fine-gauge ribbed knits or simple camisoles.
-
Adjustable Back-Knot Closure: The shoulder straps feed into a gathered, self-tie statement bow at the mid-back, allowing you to easily customize the fit and plunge depth.
-
Fluid Wide-Leg Cut: Tailored with an oversized, straight-leg profile that pools elegantly over footwear, offering the look of a maxi dress with the comfort and utility of a jumpsuit.
-
Functional Tailoring: Built with deep, discreet side-slit pockets alongside clean back welt details to maintain a streamlined profile across the hips.
-
-
The Washing: Hand wash cold or machine wash on a delicate cycle inside a mesh laundry bag with mild detergent. To protect the fine plissé texture, avoid rubbing or wringing the fabric.
-
The Drying: Do not tumble dry. Reshape gently and dry flat on a clean towel or hang on a padded hanger away from direct heat and sunlight.
-
The Pressing: Do not iron. Traditional flat ironing will flatten the structural micro-pleats. Use a garment steamer on a low setting from a slight distance to gently release any packing creases without compressing the texture.
-
Embracing a classic Japanese aesthetic, this dress serves as a versatile foundation for understated tonal dressing. For a sophisticated warm-weather look, style it with low-profile leather T-strap sandals, a structured woven tote, and delicate gold jewelry. As the temperature cools, layer it under an open, oversized linen blazer or a fine-gauge knit cardigan to showcase the rich, contrasting play of textures.
